Why is ZoRaw more expensive than Big Box Brands?
Many mainstream chocolates lack added benefits and are filled with cheap ingredients like refined sugars, fillers, and low-quality oils. For instance, palm oil can cost as little as $0.50/lb, while low-quality sugar is around $0.15/lb.
In contrast, we prioritize high-quality, non-GMO ingredients that significantly raise our costs. Our organic fair-trade cacao is priced at over $12.00/lb (24 times more than palm oil!), and our natural low glycemic index sweetener blend costs about $175/lb (over 1,000 times more expensive than standard sugar!). The inclusion of protein also contributes to higher costs.
As a small business that crafts our products in-house from the ground up, we do not rely on pre-made chocolates.
